Karetus

biography DJ Karetus is a Portuguese trio formed in 2010 by DJs and music producers Carlos Silva and André Reis and MC Paulo Silva. They released their first single “Future is Now”, a nu-disco song that reached 7th place on Beatport. From then on, they began to gain notoriety and perform at various festivals and clubs, both in Portugal and abroad. They mix several musical genres, such as dubstep, electro, moombahton, trap, drum and bass, among others, creating a unique and energetic sound. In 2015, they released their first album, “Piñata”, which featured artists such as Agir, Riot or Pongolove. The album was made available for free on the internet and was widely accepted by the public and critics. One of the most popular singles from the album was “Castles in the Sand”, featuring Agir, which had over 10 million views on YouTube. After the album, DJ Karetus continued to release several digital singles, such as “Maluco” (with Wet Bed Gang), “Não Me Remember” (with WAZE), “Bella Ciao (La Casa de Papel)”, “One Nation” (with Bárbara Bandeira and Yuzi) and “Basketball” (with Borgore and Zanova). They made remixes for artists such as Buraka Som Sistema, Richie Campbell, Mastiksoul, among others. DJ Karetus is considered one of the most innovative and versatile groups in Portuguese electronic music, where they continue to surprise their fans with their original productions and intense shows, which include impressive visuals and lots of interaction with the public.
